Ohhh...boy do I feel sheepish. lol And in case anyone's wondering, I got that from the genie in Aladdin. lol Ok, you ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-d girl. Ha ha, I love that movie. "Oh Al, I'm kinda fond of ya kid. Not that I wanna pick out curtains or anything." HA, CLASSIC! I've got the special edition DVD. Oh my gosh, just think! Aladdin came out 13 years ago! My goodness, I'm old! I was seven, thirteen years ago! And I was six when the Beauty and the Beast came out! Oh, where does the time go! Incidentally, while I've inadvertently put myself on the subject, everyone is always talking about how gorgeous the prince is at the end of BatB, but you know what? I always thought the Beast was way cuter. And with, what's his name, Robbie Benson's voice, oh, forget about it! Is that just wrong? Oh and also, kudos and props to lifehasmoments (cool name incidentally ) or if you prefer Nicole (cool name incidentally ) for the songs. It had been driving me NUTS FOR AGES!

Ooo, you remembered how that line ended! ;D Sorry, I'm easily amused. lol I like that "curtains" line, too. haha I have the special edition DVD, too. It's nice to be able to watch the movie w/o a squeaking sound. lol I don't know if it was because I watched it so much years ago (on a not-so-great VCR), but the tape I have would squeak everytime I would try to watch it. Oh my gosh, just think! Aladdin came out 13 years ago! My goodness, I'm old! I was seven, thirteen years ago! And I was six when the Beauty and the Beast came out! Oh, where does the time go! Oy, YOU feel old? I was nine when that movie came out. lol I remember going to see that (& Beauty and the Beast) in the theaters. BATB I saw w/ both my parents & Aladdin I saw w/ just my dad. No, actually, I kinda developed an attraction to the beast, too, now that ya mention it...don't ask, I would often find myself attracted to cartoon characters when I was a kid. lol

My tape broke. My parents bought it for my sister and me in '93, so I guess that's to be expected. It would play till the Prince Ali parade and fizzle into static. I got the DVD from my sister for my 19th birthday and I was in a fit of ecstaticness. Much props to Sis, she knows me all too well! Ha ha, we should start a club. The POTF Old Fogies Society. We could hold meetings on the good old days and how these young whippersnappers never learn. I didn't see BATB at the thea-a-ter, I didn't go to movies back then as obsessively as I do now. But I did see Aladdin 3 times there, twice with Dad and once with Mom. In fact, my first movie when I was a toddler, according to Mom, was Bambi. I freaked out when his Mama was shot and had to be escorted to the lobby for comforting and ice-cream. I have that one on DVD too. Ha, me too! Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, woo woo! ... Wow. Let us never speak of this again. I saw The Lion King five times at the theater, it's like one of my all time favorites! Though even then in '94, when I was 10, watching it there, I was mentally comparing it to Hamlet. I was a nerd when I was 10. Seriously, read the play and compare. Almost exactly the same storyline...but with lions. And no Timon and Pumbaa. 20, you say? Oh, they grow up so fast! And yes, I'm sure there are good things about turning 20! ....ummm.... ....hmmm.... ....let's see now... ....no, well how about.... ....oh man, I know this one.... .... Well, let me know when you figure it out cause I got nothin'. ;D Just kidding really, mentally it's just like being 19, except your body's a year older than your mind. Mentally, I'm still 12, I still get excited by the Ice Cream Truck. Except now, I can actually buy the ice cream with money that I worked for at an actual job without resorting to washing the car for allowance. My goodness, I'm gonna be 21 in November! *shudder* Wow, I can hang out at the casino, how scary's that?! Not that I would ever gamble, that's the equivalent of taking your money and flushing it down the toilet and watching it spiral down into oblivion. But still, it's nice to be able to, isn't it? Well, at least next month you'll be able to join The POTF Old Fogies Society, dearie. Only over 20's permitted, please check canes, walkers and false teeth at the door. ;D

Awww Yeah, I think that was a part of something I read on the Internet one time about how Disney is supposed to be so family-oriented, yet has stuff like that. Even if nothing was shown, nice visual for little kids to imagine a little baby deer's mother being shot. lol I don't have the DVD, but I do have the old video. I didn't even know that was ever in theaters, @ least not during our lifetime. Although you're in Australia, right? Maybe they just showed it there then. Ha, me too! Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, woo woo! ... Wow. Let us never speak of this again. Yes, or my little crush on *cough*Darkwing Duck*cough* Anybody makes any comments & it's automatic banning. lol jk I saw The Lion King five times at the theater, it's like one of my all time favorites! Though even then in '94, when I was 10, watching it there, I was mentally comparing it to Hamlet. I was a nerd when I was 10. Seriously, read the play and compare. Almost exactly the same storyline...but with lions. And no Timon and Pumbaa. Huh...interesting comparison there, never thought about that. The Lion King was the first ever movie I saw in the theaters more than once (I saw it when it first came out in June over here, then when it was re-released here in November the same year because it was so popular). I was seriously obsessed w/ that movie back then. haha Mentally, I'm still 12, I still get excited by the Ice Cream Truck. Except now, I can actually buy the ice cream with money that I worked for at an actual job without resorting to washing the car for allowance. Mentally, I'm about 10-12 as well. lol Well, at least next month you'll be able to join The POTF Old Fogies Society, dearie.
