Could any of the administrators or moderators please give me any good tips/tricks on getting more members in my new forum, Disney Channel Destination? I only have 5 members so far, and while I certainly appreciate the participation of those who have registered, that's still not enough to keep the boards decently active.
I've put up polls or initial posts in several boards in an attempt to get the ball rolling, and that's only worked mildly well.
I've tried Free Web Submission, but search engines still don't list my site anywhere near the top (and who's going to search through thousands of links long enough to find it anyway?), even if I type in the actual name of my forum instead of a keyword.
I've also advertised at Phil 'N' Keely Shrine as well as here, and I've put the link to my forum in my signature.
Any help you guys can offer on how to further increase traffic at Disney Channel Destination would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Really the best you can do you've already done. Submitting to search engines is the most helpful thing, but it can take a LONG time for a site to reach the top. Christmas break & summer were great for this site because it really helped increase the hits enough for it to get higher up on the search engine lists. Before it was deleted, it was #4 on the Yahoo! search engine.

Really? It's really no different except for the recent Proboards upgrade. The old site would've been upgraded, too. Sooner than this one was, in fact, since it was on server 32 whereas this one is on server 42.
